Section Head – Stores

Client Background:

 In addition to being a prominent manufacturer and supplier of raw materials, our client provides a wide range of raw materials that are suitable for a variety of industries. The varied portfolio that they offer is designed to meet the specific end requirements of a variety of industries, including rubber, plastics, coatings, inks, and a number of other specialized areas.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining optimal stock of machinery and construction supplies during project stages.
• Collaborate with project and purchasing teams to organize and schedule the receiving and storage of commodities and machines.
• Plan ahead of time to guarantee adequate resources for unloading, transporting, storing, and issuing machines and equipment.
• Create safe and secure inventory management systems to keep project items in good condition and prevent sabotage, misuse, and theft.
• Strong supervision on the floor ensures correct, timely, and safe receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials. Maintenance of storage facilities, as well as the implementation of material movement standards and controls in daily activities and operations.
• Receive raw goods, packing materials, engineering materials, and spares; record stock in SAP and books; ensure timely GRN and supplier payment.
• Provide daily MIS reports for material receipt and prompt communication with users regarding quality inspection clearance.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Material Management, Commerce, or MBA.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Proficient in SAP. Knowledge of statutory norms for raw material storage.
• Familiarity with 5S and other material management tools and techniques.
