Key Responsibilities:
- Responsive Issue Resolution and Contract Manufacturer Support:
- Collaborate with contract manufacturing partners to facilitate analysis and integration between suppliers and Teradyne, addressing supplier quality discrepancies.
- Implement containment strategies and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to ensure uninterrupted customer shipments while upholding product quality. This includes generating hold notifications, managing deviations, reviewing supplier 8D reports, and escalating issues to the engineering team.
- Component Validation:
- Conduct the validation of mechanical and electromechanical parts, guaranteeing adherence to specifications throughout the product’s lifespan.

- This involves conducting supplier process evaluations, reviewing initial sample inspection reports, applying statistical analysis to validate process capabilities, and assessing surface finish and aesthetic standards.
- Vendor Enhancement:
- Lead initiatives with suppliers to achieve continuous performance improvement.

- This encompasses performing supplier system and process assessments, delivering feedback to Teradyne and supplier management, conducting regular on-site visits to monitor proactive improvement efforts, and evaluating the effectiveness of corrective measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Chinese language skills are advantageous for communication with Chinese suppliers.
- Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of fabrication techniques are crucial (machining, sheet metal, tooling, assembly, etc.).
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering drawings, including tolerance and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in design, manufacturing, operations, or supplier relations.
- Practical experience with quality management tools (Control Plan, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), 8D problem-solving, etc.).
