We are currently seeking a Mechanical Integrity Repair Engineer to join our client’s team Rayong, Thailand. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability, integrity, and maintainability of our client’s facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical expertise in equipment design and repair methodologies to enhance the reliability, availability, and integrity of facility assets.
  • Oversee the installation, repair, inspection, testing, and maintenance of mechanical integrity assets, ensuring adherence to regulatory, corporate, and international standards.
  • Develop and lead repair strategies for static mechanical equipment, including creating repair plans, collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs), and ensuring field execution aligns with approved methods and standards.
  • Conduct assessments to determine equipment suitability for service and perform stress analysis as needed.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities align with Pressure Equipment and Pressure Relief Devices Integrity Management Plans, Leak Management Plans, and Corrosion Management Plans.
  • Participate in process hazard evaluations to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Safely execute mechanical engineering tasks and provide technical support during field operations.
  • Act as a technical liaison with equipment vendors and external contractors to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Assist SMEs in root cause analysis of equipment failures and contribute to the development of repair techniques.
  • Provide technical guidance to plant personnel for troubleshooting equipment failures, conducting repairs, and assessing equipment fitness for service conditions.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or College Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in repairing piping, storage tanks, pressure containment equipment (PCE), and life-for-life replacements of static equipment within the Chemical, Petrochemical, or Refinery sectors.
  • Proven experience in construction work and effective communication with technicians and contractors.
  • Holding a CSWIP/CWI certification is a strong advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction and inspection codes, including ASME VIII (Div. 1, 2), ASME B31.3, API 650, 620, 653, 510, 570, and NBIC 23.
  • Familiarity with critical lifting procedures for static equipment in refineries, oil & gas, and petrochemical plants.
  • Experience in hydro-blasting and chemical cleaning of static equipment is desirable.
  • Understanding of hydrocarbon cracker manufacturing technologies.
