This role offers the opportunity to take on the responsibilities of an entity leader for various Thai companies. As the lead analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the overall data integrity of financial statements, account reconciliations, and other related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Guarantee Financial Statement Accuracy: You’ll define accounting procedures aligned with local policies, run essential SAP reports to review financial statements, perform reconciliations, analyze trends, compare US GAAP and local books, investigate unusual items, approve significant entries, and ensure corrections are recorded accurately.
- Monthly Tax Closing & Account Management: You’ll calculate and recognize monthly corporate income tax closing, manage reconciliations for your assigned accounts, and review/approve reconciliations completed by your team members.
- External Filings & Audits: You’ll be the central point of contact for external financial and statutory filings, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, local principles, and relevant regulations. Incomplete data can have serious consequences, so your attention to detail is critical.
- Facilitate Successful Audits: You’ll manage communication with external auditors, ensure timely information provision, participate in review meetings, and address audit comments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You’ll recognize cross-departmental and cross-Finance impacts and take action to address these needs effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of Accounting experience
- Strong grasp of accounting principles
- Proficiency in technology (computers) is essential, including SAP ERP, Excel, Power BI, and an interest in digitalization and automation.
- Excellent English communication skills
- Understanding of accounting/financial statement analysis
- Knowledge of local corporate income tax requirements
- Ability to thrive in a global team environment with a keen eye for detail
